Manouche Urbain

Manouche Urbain is a Boston-based acoustic jazz band influenced by the musings of gypsy swing legend, Django Reinhardt and virtuoso violinist, Stéphane Grappelli. This "hot" quartet is composed of two guitars, a violin and an upright bass with timely vocals. We are available to perform throughout New England and can give your special event the ambiance of a romantic Parisian café or a swingin' speakeasy.

The repertoire of Manouche Urbain includes spicy renditions of beloved jazz standards as well as compositions by Django himself, and still other tunes by renowned gypsy musicians. Manouche Urbain's music transports the listener to a smoky hot club in the 1940s; an eclectic mix of standards blended with a few choice latin jazz classics - all served up with a swinging gypsy jazz vibe.

Manouche Urbain has a classic yet hip sound that can invigorate guests at weddings, cocktail hours, private and corporate functions, and evening soirées. It is also perfect for setting the right mood in restaurants and cafés.  Whatever the occasion… Manouche Urbain is the perfect accompaniment!
